AJ Styles Advocates for Affordable WWE Ticket Prices at SummerSlam

AJ Styles believes WWE should make certain tickets "dirt cheap" for SummerSlam.

With WWE currently struggling to pack out Minneapolis' US Bank Stadium for SummerSlam in a couple of weeks time, the legendary AJ Styles has given his thoughts on how to get a few more bodies through the door at the Biggest Party of the Summer.

Speaking on his Phenomenally Retro podcast, when asked about what he attributes struggling SummerSlam ticket sales to, the Phenomenal One suggested pricing "nosebleed" seats "dirt cheap".

"Well, I don't know how much the tickets are, but they haven't been known to be cheap," Styles said. "It's not one of those things, where even the nosebleeds are a little expensive. So, I think that might have something to do with it; I could be wrong."

AJ Styles thinks that making 'nosebleed' seats dirt cheap could help boost SummerSlam ticket sales.

"I would think big shows like this, you definitely have your tiers of where you're gonna sit and how much they are, but I would say, man, when you get to the nosebleeds, let's make them freaking cheap, dirt cheap, sell a bunch of those," Styles continued. "And why not? Let's sell all the seats we can. And maybe that's something, as we get closer, that'll happen; who knows, it's only two weeks away."

The second-ever two-day SummerSlam, this year's event has been set up, per WrestleTix, to accommodate 29,500 fans. Interestingly, US Bank Stadium's general capacity is around 66,000, with the ability to expand to 72,000 if needed.

As of last week, WWE had moved approximately 22,500 tickets for each day of SummerSlam, meaning they would need to move roughly 7,000 tickets for each day to classify the PLE as a "sellout".

Announced at Saturday Night's Main Event this past weekend, for a limited time only, fans can get SummerSlam tickets for as low as $25, as WWE looks to attract more people to a major show headlined by WWE Champion CM Punk vs. Cody Rhodes, World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins, and Brock Lesnar vs. Oba Femi in a Hell in a Cell match.

For comparison, last year's SummerSlam, from New Jersey's MetLife Stadium, had 53,000 in attendance for Day 1 and 60,500 for Day 2, representing quite the year-on-year drop-off when looking at this year's numbers.

WWE SummerSlam 2026 takes place over the weekend of August 1st and 2nd.
