Aly Raisman Retires from Gymnastics, Focusing on Wellness
Aly Raisman has no plans to return to gymnastics anytime soon.
She told **Us Weekly** on Wednesday, May 12, that she's not doing any gymnastics.
Aly Raisman was the captain of the 2012 and 2016 U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams.
She won three gold medals, two silver medals, and one bronze medal during her tenure.
Raisman confirmed her retirement in January 2020.
Since then, she has focused on pursuing new activities, including those that center around her mental health.
Aly Raisman found gardening has been really relaxing for her.
She also does guided meditations and Pilates.
Raisman has moved on to another stage in her career: coaching.
She's working with Woodward gymnastics camp as the gymnastics program designer.
Aly Raisman will be at the camp for a couple of sessions during the summer.
She's excited to be able to meet the kids and coach gymnastics that incorporate different fun activities.
Raisman partnered with Club Pilates and Sanvello to host the World Wellness Break virtual event on May 1.
The event combined two of her passions: Pilates and mental wellness.

She's working on relaxing her body and not holding too much tension.
