Aly Raisman Talks Mental Health in West Palm Beach

Aly Raisman is a tireless advocate for awareness regarding mental health, sexual abuse, and body positivity.

She has been open about her struggles with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) and its impact on her daily life.

Aly Raisman has explained that she knew early on that her athletic career would come with mental health challenges.

She suffers from OCD, which manifested as superstitions during her childhood as a competitive gymnast.

Aly Raisman didn't realize that the rituals she was performing were deeper than just a superstition.

Even today, years removed from competition, she still finds that the disorder manifests itself in her daily life.

She worries about everyday tasks, such as turning off the oven or curling iron.

Aly Raisman will be the keynote speaker at Alpert Jewish Family Service of Palm Beach's 21st Annual No Excuse for Abuse Evening.

The event will be held at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts.

Aly Raisman was the two-time captain of the Olympic gold medal-winning USA Women's Gymnastics teams at the 2012 Olympics in London and 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
