Anderson Silva Fires Back at Dana White

2026-06-23 · Anderson Silva · Player Focus

Anderson Silva has responded to Dana White's comments about the state of their relationship, offering a different perspective on what led to their current situation.

Silva took to Instagram to respond to White's recent comments about the end of his fighting days, giving his own perspective on how things played out.

The Brazilian legend felt disrespected after being told his UFC career was over, according to White.

Silva pushed back against suggestions that he was difficult to deal with and also commented on White's claim that his run ended after losing "eight or nine or ten in a row".

He wrote in Portuguese: "The bald guy saying (s-). I've been out of the organization for many years already, but apparently neither the current fighters nor the bald guy himself can forget my accomplishments."

Silva only managed one win in his last nine fights in the Octagon, but it was actually a three-fight losing streak that marked the end of his career.

The former middleweight champion has a history of stepping up when needed, even during challenging stretches later in his career.

He remained a reliable name for UFC cards facing last-minute changes, such as UFC 200 when he stepped up on less than two days' notice to fight Daniel Cormier.

Silva also volunteered to move up a weight class on short notice for UFC 151 after Jon Jones declined Chael Sonnen following Dan Henderson's withdrawal: a card that eventually got cancelled altogether.

And Silva's accomplishments are still remembered, with White himself acknowledging the Brazilian legend's impact on the UFC.

But Silva's response to White's comments has sparked a new wave of interest in their relationship and the circumstances surrounding the end of his UFC career.

So the question remains: what's next for Anderson Silva and the UFC?

The Brazilian legend's legacy continues to be felt, with many still discussing his impressive career and accomplishments.
