Andre De Grasse Leads World Athletics Relays in Botswana

Andre De Grasse is set to compete in the 2026 World Athletics Relays in Botswana this weekend.

The event will be live on Peacock, starting at 8 a.m. ET on Saturday and Sunday.

Andre De Grasse will be competing in the 4x100m relay, aiming to lead Canada to a World Championship berth.

He has anchored Canada's 4x100m relay to three consecutive Olympic podium finishes, including gold in Paris.

Olympic gold medalists Letsile Tebogo and Elaine Thompson-Herah will also be competing in the event.

Tebogo, a Botswana native, won gold in the 4x400m relay at the 2025 World Championships.

The top six teams in Sunday's mixed 4x100m and mixed 4x400m finals will qualify for the inaugural World Athletics Ultimate Championships.

On Saturday, the top two finishers in each of the four heats of each event will qualify for the 2027 World Championships in Beijing.

Andre De Grasse has a strong record in the 4x100m relay, with three consecutive Olympic podium finishes.

He will be competing against a strong field, including reigning Olympic 200m gold medalist Letsile Tebogo.

The event will be part of NBC Sports' outdoor track & field coverage, which includes the Lone Star Grand Prix and the Prefontaine Classic.

Andre De Grasse is a seven-time Olympic medalist, with a strong chance of adding to his medal count.
