Babar Azam came to the crease with Pakistan in trouble at 6/2 after early damage.

Ellis trapped him in front for 16 off 16 balls, effectively burying Pakistan's chase.

In ODI cricket, Ellis has now removed Babar Azam three times in 61 deliveries, conceding only 68 runs.

Babar Azam has an average of just 22.7 against Ellis in the 50-over format.

"I haven't got Babar worked out, that's for sure," said Ellis.

"He's obviously a great player," Ellis added.

Ellis spoke about bowling on a surface that differed noticeably from what is typically seen in modern one-day cricket.

The series is now level, with the decider to be played soon.

Ellis deserves real credit for his performance, showing composure on surfaces that demanded something different from his usual game plan.

He took the Lahore pitch for what it was, dusty, dry, unpredictable, and used it rather than fighting against it.

Ellis's skill will be a lethal weapon for the Aussies in the upcoming matches.

Australia won the second ODI by 41 runs on a dusty Lahore pitch.

The pitch was dry and unpredictable, but Ellis adapted well to the conditions.

Ellis has now dismissed Babar Azam three times in ODI cricket, with Babar averaging 22.7 against him.

The Australian right-arm pacer delivered another match-winning performance in the second ODI.

Ellis finished with figures of 4/33 from nine overs.

Pakistan were dismissed for 190 in pursuit of a target of 232.

The pattern of Ellis dismissing Babar Azam stretches into T20 Internationals as well.

Babar Azam has managed just 21 runs from 13 balls and has been dismissed once by Ellis in T20Is.

Ellis was careful not to undermine Babar Azam, saying he hasn't got him worked out.

Ellis tries not to think about individual wickets and instead focuses on reading conditions and adjusting as the situation demands.

He wants to adapt on the fly and not get too caught up in thinking about the wickets.

The Cricket News Opinion: Ellis is another lethal weapon in Aussie armour before the 2027 WC.

Ellis provides variety and depth to the Australian team.

He will be a key player for the Aussies in the upcoming matches.
