Bo Nix reveals NFL comeback plans, Mizzen+Main deal and fatherhood in candid interview

Bo Nix is plotting his NFL comeback this summer after signing with the Atlanta Falcons in May.

Nix told Mizzen+Main’s *The Huddle* that he’s focused on proving himself in Atlanta’s offense this training camp. The Falcons drafted him 74th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, and he’s spent the offseason refining his mechanics and footwork. “I’m just trying to get back to where I was before the draft,” Nix said. “The Falcons gave me a real shot, and I don’t want to waste it.”

Nix and his wife, Annie Nix, welcomed their first child in late March. He admitted the adjustment has been “wild” but energizing. “It’s a whole new level of responsibility,” he said. “But it’s also given me something to fight for on the field.” The couple has kept their son’s name and details private, though Nix hinted at sharing more after the season.

Nix signed a multi-year partnership with Mizzen+Main, the golf-inspired performance apparel brand. He’ll wear their gear on game days and in training sessions. “Their stuff fits the way I move,” Nix said. “It’s not just about looks-it’s about performance.” The brand’s CEO called Nix a “perfect fit” for their athlete roster.

Training camp opens July 25 in Flowery Branch. Nix will compete for the Falcons’ third-string QB spot behind Kirk Cousins and Taylor Heinicke. Falcons coach Raheem Morris has praised Nix’s “high football IQ” but stressed the need for consistency. “I’m not worried about the competition,” Nix said. “I’m worried about getting better every day.”
