Bobby Witt Jr. Advances to All-Star Game Voting Finals

Bobby Witt Jr. has advanced to Phase 2 of All-Star Game voting after a remarkable season with the Kansas City Royals. On Thursday, the Royals announced his progression to the finals.

Bobby Witt Jr. suffered a right knee injury while fielding a ground ball in a game against the St. Louis Cardinals last Thursday.

He is expected to return ahead of Friday's series opener against the Chicago White Sox.

Bobby Witt Jr. has accumulated 4.3 bWAR across 76 games, leading the American League.

He will go head to head in the finals against Andres Gimenez of the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Royals have continued to slip in the standings without Bobby Witt Jr. in the lineup.

Phase 2 of All-Star Game voting opens on June 29th at 12:00 PM ET and closes on July 2nd at 12:00 PM ET.

Bobby Witt Jr. finished Phase 1 with nearly 1,000,000 more votes than Gimenez.

He has posted a .294 batting average, .368 on-base percentage, .833 OPS, 10 home runs, and 32 RBIs.
