Brad Keselowski Challenges Penske's Dominance With Bold Blaney Claim

2026-07-20 · Brad Keselowski · Player Focus

Brad Keselowski has fired a shot across the bow at Roger Penske’s team, declaring RFK Racing the strongest Ford squad outside Ryan Blaney’s dominance. The bold claim comes ahead of NASCAR’s return to North Wilkesboro Speedway on 20 July 2026, where Blaney will start on pole.

What’s behind Keselowski’s confidence?

Keselowski points to RFK Racing’s raw speed this season. Despite four finishes of 34th or worse due to crashes and mechanical issues, he secured a runner-up at Darlington and a sixth-place finish at Kansas. Teammate Ryan Preece has also shown promise, with top-10s at Bristol and Atlanta.

Why the standings don’t tell the full story

While Blaney leads Ford drivers in third place with two wins, RFK Racing sits outside the top 15. Keselowski argues that bad luck-like Preece’s setbacks at Nashville, Michigan, and Pocono-has masked their potential. With only six races left before the playoffs, time is running out to convert speed into points.

Can RFK Racing make a playoff push?

North Wilkesboro offers a fresh chance. If Keselowski and Preece avoid mishaps, their confidence could prove justified. The veteran driver’s challenge to Penske’s dominance may soon gain traction-or fade with another missed opportunity.
