Brooks Koepka confirms 2026 Rocket Classic return in Detroit

Brooks Koepka will headline the 2026 Rocket Mortgage Classic in Detroit, the PGA Tour confirmed on Monday.

The two-time PGA Championship winner will return to the Rocket Classic for the first time since 2023, when he missed the cut at Detroit Golf Club. Koepka, 36, joins a field that already includes world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and rising star Ludvig Åberg.

The Rocket Mortgage Classic is the only PGA Tour stop in Michigan, drawing big crowds and corporate interest every summer. Koepka’s presence adds star power to a tournament that’s grown into a summer staple since its 2019 debut. The event’s purse topped $9 million in 2025, and organizers expect another sellout with Koepka in the mix.

Koepka’s 2026 schedule remains light outside majors and signature events. He skipped the 2025 Rocket Classic but played the 2026 U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills, finishing T-12. His last PGA Tour win came at the 2023 Waste Management Open, and he’s yet to claim a title in Detroit.

Scheffler headlines a stacked entry list that includes Viktor Hovland, Xander Schauffele, and 2025 PGA Championship runner-up Bryson DeChambeau. Koepka’s return gives local fans a shot at seeing four major winners on one course in one week.

The 2026 Rocket Mortgage Classic runs July 23-26 at Detroit Golf Club.
