Chase Elliott Faces Chase Briscoe in NASCAR In-Season Challenge

Chase Elliott is set to face Chase Briscoe in the NASCAR In-Season Challenge during Sunday's NASCAR Cup Series race at EchoPark Speedway.

On July 12, Elliott posted the seventh-fastest lap and will start from Row 4.

Elliott advanced to the quarterfinals after beating Michael McDowell with an 11th-place finish at Chicagoland.

The Hendrick Motorsports driver joked about his plans ahead of the quarterfinal matchup, saying "I want to whip his a**".

Elliott then gave a more serious reply, stating his focus is on surviving the carnage and having a shot at the $1 million prize.

Chase Briscoe, who is coming straight from a win at Chicagoland, qualified 20th and said his main focus is winning the race and scoring as many points as possible.

The Quaker State 400 Available at Walmart is set to start at 7:00 p.m. ET on Sunday.

Elliott hopes to relive last year's home-track success at Atlanta, which meant more to him than a regular race victory.

The Georgia native said it was one of the biggest moments of his career, but he never tries harder at his home race than anywhere else.

Elliott finished the statement by saying "It just feels a little different" and hopes to repeat last year's success and create another memory in Georgia.
