Coco Gauff Announces Documentary Projects

2026-06-26 · Coco Gauff · Player Focus

Coco Gauff is launching her filmmaking career with two documentary projects, produced through her iROC Media Group.

The 2025 French Open champion has partnered with Tennis Channel to create two short documentaries, marking her debut in filmmaking.

The documentaries explore the evolution of fashion in tennis and the story of former American star Zina Garrison.

Gauff has frequently cited Zina Garrison as one of her biggest inspirations, and these projects reflect her interest in how tennis influences culture beyond competition.

Coco Gauff said the documentaries are intended to celebrate not only the athletes themselves but also the broader cultural movements that have helped define tennis.

The two documentaries are the first productions released by iROC Media Group, and they will join five additional films scheduled for release later this year under Tennis Channel's Tennis Story banner.

Tennis Channel CEO Jeff Blackburn praised Gauff's creativity and vision for the new venture, saying her success on the court naturally positioned her to tell meaningful stories away from competition.

The documentaries are being developed through a collaboration between iROC Media Group and Religion of Sports, the production company co-founded by Tom Brady.

Gauff's production company was launched nine months ago, and these projects mark a significant expansion of her career beyond professional tennis.

The documentaries are expected to premiere later this summer, and they will be directed by Vashni Korin and executive produced by Gauff.

Gauff's legacy on the court speaks for itself, and her venture into filmmaking is an exciting development for her fans and the tennis world.

The documentaries will explore how iconic players and moments have shaped the way we see tennis and ourselves, and Gauff hopes to celebrate the people and cultural forces that have helped define tennis.

Coco Gauff holds the runner-up trophy at the Internazionali BNL d'Italia 2026 tennis tournament at Foro Italico in Rome, and her filmmaking debut is highly anticipated.

Religion of Sports Executive Vice President of Unscripted Victor Buhler echoed Blackburn's sentiment, saying Gauff's projects highlight the people who have helped move tennis forward through innovation and influence.

Gauff's filmmaking career is off to a strong start, and her fans are eager to see what she will produce next.
