Dale Earnhardt Jr Returns to Racing at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway

Dale Earnhardt Jr will race at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway on April 11.

He will drive his No. 8 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet in the CARS Tour late model stock car race.

The CARS Tour is a late model series co-owned by Earnhardt Jr, Justin Marks, Kevin Harvick, and Jeff Burton.

It aims to support grassroots racing and develop future talent.

Earnhardt Jr has long been a vocal supporter of bringing a major NASCAR series back to the Nashville Fairgrounds.

He grew up racing at the track and has expressed his love for it.

The Nashville-area community has been wanting him to race there again for quite a while.

The Tootsie's Music City Showdown will feature a talented field of drivers, including Earnhardt Jr.

He will face competition from both the CARS Tour regionally and the Nashville Fairgrounds regulars.

Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge owner Steve Smith will host the teams after the race.

Dale Earnhardt Jr's father, Dale Sr., also raced at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway throughout his career.

Earnhardt Jr retired from NASCAR Cup racing in 2017 and now serves as a television analyst and owns JR Motorsports.

He has won 26 NASCAR Cup Series races and was the most popular driver 15 consecutive times.

The race will take place on April 11, with Earnhardt Jr driving his No. 8 Bass Pro Shops Chevrolet.
