Dani Alves Returns to Normal Life, Expecting Child
Dani Alves, the 42-year-old former Barcelona and Brazil right-back, is returning to normal life after his acquittal from rape charges.
He spent 15 months in prison between 2023 and 2024.
Alves was convicted of rape in 2023 for an incident in December 2022 at a Barcelona nightclub, but was later acquitted due to 'inconclusive evidence'.
The victim and public prosecution have launched appeals, with the case expected to run into next year.
Alves maintained he had consensual relations with the alleged victim.
Joana Sanz, Alves' partner, has confirmed that life is returning to normal for the couple, with Sanz expecting a child.
Sanz, 33, had faced problems conceiving in the past, but is now delighted with her pregnancy.
The child was conceived after Alves' release from prison, and the couple's relationship began again.
Alves has been seen playing pick-up games of football in Barcelona, although there is no suggestion he will come out of retirement.
He has also started a business in Brazil aimed at facilitating social events.
Sanz has declared that “Forgiving is a relief” and that Alves is caring for her during the pregnancy.
And Alves is being very attentive to Sanz, who is taking advantage of the situation to let him do things she doesn't like to do.
The case is expected to run on into next year, with the victim and public prosecution launching appeals.
But for now, Alves is focusing on his personal life and business ventures.
Alves' partner Sanz is living in the present and enjoying her pregnancy.
The couple's relationship is back on track, with Sanz hinting at forgiveness and Alves being supportive during her pregnancy.
Alves is also spending time playing football and working on his business.
So life is slowly returning to normal for the former Barcelona right-back.
