David Pastrnak Wins NHL First Star for January
David Pastrnak has been named the NHL First Star of the Month for January, leading the league in scoring with 24 points.
He recorded 11 goals and 13 assists in 14 games, with points in 12 of the Boston Bruins' contests.
The 27-year-old winger had four three-point games in January.
Pastrnak has played in all 53 games with the Bruins this season, notching 24 goals and 37 assists for 61 points.
He leads the team in goals, assists, points, and power play goals.
The Havirov, Czech Republic native has skated in 727 career NHL games, totaling 372 goals and 416 assists for 788 points.
Pastrnak was originally drafted by Boston in the first round (25th overall) of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft.
As of February 1, Pastrnak has a plus-135 rating and averages 1.15 points per game.
He has recorded 18 even strength goals and 47 even strength points this season.
The Bruins forward has also scored 6 power play goals and 14 power play points.
Pastrnak's performance in January earned him the NHL First Star of the Month award.
He is currently in his 11th season with the Bruins.
