Demi Vollering Defends Title at Setmana Ciclista Valenciana

Demi Vollering begins her 2026 season on February 12 at the Setmana Ciclista Valenciana, where she will defend her title.

The Dutchwoman will face tough competition from world champion Magdeleine Vallieres and Pauliena Rooijakkers.

Demi Vollering won the overall title at the Setmana Ciclista Valenciana last year, beating Marlen Reusser by 34 seconds.

The four-stage race features hills throughout, with the queen stage 3 from Agost to La Nucia being the most challenging, including the first-category Port de Tudons.

The stage 3 route includes 2,600 metres of elevation gain, with a descent to the finish line.

Demi Vollering has been preparing for the race, completing a six-hour recon ride on much of the stage 3 course last Friday.

Other top riders expected to compete include Liane Lippert and Ashleigh Moolman Pasio.

Demi Vollering is the standout favourite to retain her title, but will need to perform well on the tough stage 3 course.

The Setmana Ciclista Valenciana runs from February 12-15, with the final stage concluding in Valencia.
