Drew McIntyre Delays WWE Return Amid Acting Schedule

Drew McIntyre's WWE return has been delayed, with the former Undisputed WWE Champion not expected back in the ring anytime soon.

McIntyre was defeated by Jacob Fatu at WrestleMania 42, and recent reports indicated a potential return leading up to SummerSlam.

But according to PWInsider, those reports are inaccurate, as McIntyre has been announced for a new film, "The Last Druid", alongside Russell Crowe.

The movie will be filmed in Spain and takes place a quarter century after "Gladiator".

McIntyre's acting schedule is impacting his WWE commitments, with the star having recently filmed alongside "Superman" actor Henry Cavill in his native Scotland for the "Highlander" reboot.

He plays Cavill's brother in the film, which is currently in production.

McIntyre signed with talent agency Paradigm in July 2024, which also represents Tiffany Stratton, CM Punk, and Damian Priest.

Fatu and McIntyre were locked in a bitter feud leading up to their unsanctioned match at WrestleMania, which Fatu won.

McIntyre's return to WWE is now uncertain, with his acting commitments taking priority.
