Eberechi Eze hails ‘incredibly talented’ Arsenal teammate Bukayo Saka after Premier League glory

Eze and Saka lift Premier League trophy in first season together

Eberechi Eze has hailed Bukayo Saka as an “incredibly talented” teammate after the Arsenal pair combined to end the club’s 22-year Premier League drought in 2025-26. The 27-year-old midfielder joined the Gunners in summer 2025 and immediately forged a strong on-field partnership with the 24-year-old winger. Together they played key roles in Arsenal’s title-winning campaign, their first together at club level.

What Eze said about Saka’s game

Eze described Saka as a player who makes the right decisions constantly and executes them with efficiency. “He’s an incredibly talented player and his level of understanding of the game is insane,” Eze told reporters. “I feel like he’s a player that makes the right decision a lot of the time and he’s so effective, so efficient.

He added: “I enjoy playing with him a lot because you know what you’re going to get from him. You can always link up with him. He’s a fun player to play with, for sure.” Eze pointed to Saka’s development from a young age as the foundation of his current form.

How the England duo turned Arsenal into title winners

Arsenal secured the Premier League crown on 11 May 2026 with two games to spare, finishing 12 points clear of second-placed Liverpool. Eze’s arrival in summer 2025 completed a midfield that already featured Saka’s creativity and direct running from the right flank. Their understanding translated into key goals and assists throughout the season, including in high-pressure fixtures against Manchester City and Chelsea.

Tuchel, the manager, had publicly set the goal of turning England into a Premier League team. Eze echoed that idea after the title was sealed. “Whenever we play a game, we have that level of dominance and we try to impose ourselves in every game,” he said. “You can see how difficult it is for opponents to play against us, that energy and spirit.

What comes next for Eze and Saka

Both players remain central to Arsenal’s plans under Tuchel as the club eyes a sustained push for multiple trophies. Eze, now 27, has established himself as a first-choice starter, while Saka continues to grow into a complete winger. With England’s Euro 2028 qualifiers approaching, their club form could push them toward greater international recognition.

Tuchel has already hinted at squad rotation for next season. Eze and Saka will need to manage their workload while maintaining the high standards that delivered the Premier League trophy in their debut campaign together.
