Enzo Fernández demands Chelsea exit as agent confirms transfer push

Enzo Fernández is pushing for a Chelsea exit this summer, his agent Javier Pastore confirmed in fresh interviews with Spanish media. The Argentina midfielder, who joined Chelsea in January 2023, has reportedly outgrown the club’s current ambitions.

Pastore, a former PSG player, revealed Enzo’s frustration with Chelsea’s inability to meet his professional needs. 'He’s done very well at Chelsea. He’s won titles in three and a half years,' Pastore said. 'But there comes a time when you have to follow the player’s path.'

The agent emphasized Enzo’s happiness in London but hinted at bigger ambitions. 'A player performs best when he’s happy where he is, and Enzo has been happy in the English capital,' Pastore added.

Chelsea’s struggles under BlueCo ownership have left them without European football for the second time in four years. Enzo’s potential departure reflects the club’s declining competitive edge.

Pastore acknowledged the financial hurdles, noting that Enzo’s £120m price tag limits suitors. 'Player prices are very high, and his is certainly very high too,' he said.

Real Madrid has been linked with Enzo, who Pastore confirmed admires the club. 'He likes Real Madrid, as well as other clubs in the league,' the agent said.

However, Pastore stressed that Enzo’s focus remains on the World Cup. 'There’s so much at stake. Enzo needs to enjoy it and right now, I prefer that he’s focused on trying to win another World Cup,' he said.
