Floyd Mayweather’s Miami Beach mansion sells for $18.5M, loses $3.5M

Floyd Mayweather’s former Miami Beach mansion changed hands for $18.5 million on 20 July 2026, a steep drop from the $22 million he paid in November 2024.

What happened?

An LLC linked to Black Spruce Management’s Josh Gotlib sold the 10,818-square-foot home at 288 South Coconut Lane in Miami Beach. The sale price of $18.5 million marks a $3.5 million loss compared to Mayweather’s purchase two years earlier. The deed hasn’t yet been recorded, and the buyer’s identity remains undisclosed.

Douglas Elliman’s Oliver Lloyd represented the seller, while Dina Goldentayer brought the buyer. The property had been listed near $23 million before going under contract. Once it moved, multiple high-end buyers circled the listing.

Why it matters for Floyd Mayweather

The deal underscores the volatility of Miami Beach’s ultra-luxury real estate market. Mayweather bought the home in 2024 for $22 million, a sharp contrast to his 2020 sale of a Pine Tree Drive waterfront mansion for $6.3 million. That earlier home featured eight bedrooms, nine and a half bathrooms, an indoor theater, gym, dock, and space for ten cars.

Mayweather’s 2024 purchase coincided with a separate investment in Josh Gotlib’s 1,000-unit affordable housing portfolio in Manhattan. That deal, previously reported as a $402 million sale, is now part of a lawsuit Mayweather filed against former adviser Jona Rechnitz. Mayweather only took a small stake with options to expand his position over time.

What comes next?

The South Coconut Lane home’s sale reflects broader trends in Miami’s high-end market. Buyers still chase turnkey waterfront compounds, and inventory remains scarce for homes priced above $20 million. Recent examples include venture capitalist Ben Ling and his husband Chris Coudron, who paid $40 million for a Palm Island teardown next to their 2021-purchased mansion.

Lloyd noted the demand for large lots and new construction. “These people want big houses, best lots, new, turnkey,” he said. The market’s appetite for assembled compounds shows no sign of slowing, even as individual trophy homes shift hands at fluctuating prices.
