Frances Tiafoe hilariously re-creates Tommy Paul’s tearful wedding moment

Frances Tiafoe has put his comedic spin on a viral tennis moment-this time, Tommy Paul’s tearful reaction when he first saw his wife Paige Lorenze walk down the aisle at their wedding on July 15.

What happened?

Tiafoe’s girlfriend Ayan Broomfield recorded him re-enacting Paul’s emotional face as Lorenze appeared at their ceremony in front of family and friends. The clip, later shared on Broomfield’s TikTok, captures Tiafoe’s spot-on impression of Paul’s stunned, watery-eyed stare.

Paul and Lorenze, who’ve been together since 2022, tied the knot in a private ceremony. Tiafoe and Broomfield were among the guests, and the two American ATP stars have long been rivals on court and friends off it.

Why it matters for Frances Tiafoe

Tiafoe and Paul’s friendship stretches back years. In 2025, Tiafoe told The Changeover Podcast that the pair used to be “as goofy as each other,” pulling stunts and getting into scrapes. “Tommy was just as much of a clown as I was,” Tiafoe said, adding that Paul has since turned more serious.

Their bond shows up on tour too. Both men are scheduled to play the North American hard-court swing, starting at the ATP Masters 1000 in Montreal on August 1. They’ll also be in New York for the US Open, where the swing ends.

What comes next?

Tiafoe’s next big test is Montreal. The 28-year-old will line up against top-ranked rivals, including Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz, in a bid to build momentum before Flushing Meadows.

Paul, meanwhile, is coming off a third-round exit at Wimbledon on July 4 after a four-set loss to Hubert Hurkacz. Tiafoe also bowed out in the third round at Wimbledon, losing a five-set thriller to Alexander Bublik on July 6.

Both Americans will need strong results in Montreal to sharpen their games ahead of the US Open, where they’ll chase their first Grand Slam titles.
