Francisco Lindor Attends Knicks Game Amid Injury Recovery
Francisco Lindor is recovering from a calf strain and was spotted at the New York Knicks NBA Finals game with his family.
The New York Knicks played the San Antonio Spurs at Madison Square Garden, with Lindor in attendance.
His wife Katia shared a photo of the couple and their son Koa on her Instagram story.
Lindor is scheduled to get an MRI on his calf either Wednesday or Thursday.
Manager Carlos Mendoza alluded that the best case scenario for Lindor's return is in late June.
The New York Mets finished the month of May with a record of 16-12.
They are starting to cut the deficit between them and the rest of the National League East.
The Mets are only 1.5 games behind the Miami Marlins.
Freddy Peralta is scheduled to take the mound against Dustin May on Tuesday at 7:10 P.M. EST.
Lindor's return is expected in the third week of June, according to Jon Heyman of the New York Post.
The Mets are bound to get a more definitive timeline for Lindor's return after his MRI.
Lindor is no longer in a walking boot and isn't dealing with any sort of Achilles issue.
The New York Mets are looking to cut the deficit between them and the rest of the National League East.
And they are starting to make progress with their current standings.
But Lindor's injury has been a significant setback for the team.
So they are eager to get him back on the field.
Lindor's family outing to the Knicks game was a welcome distraction from his injury recovery.
The Knicks lost Game 3 to the San Antonio Spurs 111-115.
Francisco Lindor's teammate Juan Soto was also spotted outside of MSG.
But the pair did not seem to be in attendance together.
Soto was reportedly sitting in a suite, whereas Lindor was amongst the fans in stadium seating.
Lindor's wife Katia shared videos to her Instagram stories at the game.
This is not the first game that Lindor has attended during the Knicks' 2026 postseason run.
