Gabriel Jesus Set to Leave Arsenal for £5m

2026-06-23 · Gabriel Jesus · Transfer

Gabriel Jesus is set to leave Arsenal for around £5m, with the Gunners looking to offload the striker due to his high wages and injury-prone career.

The Brazilian striker has struggled since signing a five-year contract in a £45 million move from Manchester City in 2022.

He earns £265,000 per week, with only Bukayo Saka and Kai Havertz banking more.

Injuries have been a common theme of his time at Arsenal, with hamstring, groin and knee injuries limiting him to 123 appearances.

Jesus was limited to 14 Premier League appearances this term.

The Gunners are looking to sign one or two forwards this summer, with Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers and Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Kroupi on their radar.

Gabriel Jesus could make his last appearance for Arsenal in the Champions League final against Paris Saint-Germain on Saturday.

And the Brazilian is not the only forward likely to leave the Gunners this summer, with Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard also likely to move on.

So Mikel Arteta, the manager, could also look to strengthen in the middle of the park this summer.

But for now, the focus is on offloading Gabriel Jesus and his high wages, which will boost Arsenal’s finances.

The Independent reports that Jesus has plenty of offers from Brazil, making a summer transfer likely.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Arsenal will look to finalize the sale of Gabriel Jesus and bring in new talent to strengthen their squad.
