Gareth Bale Hails Wrexham's Progress

2026-06-24 · Gareth Bale · Player Focus

Gareth Bale has praised Wrexham's 'extraordinary' progress under Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

The Wales legend was spotted at the World Cup with his rarely-seen son.

Wrexham narrowly missed out on a place in the Championship play-offs last season.

They were pipped to the post by Hull City, who finished sixth and went on to claim a place in the top flight.

Gareth Bale told Front Office Sports that the ownership model is not necessarily one for others to follow.

Bale insists the pair's ownership model has been 'absolutely incredible' in bringing the community together.

He praised their investment in the right way, reviving the club and getting three promotions in a row.

Bale's own investment fund, Juggernaut Diversified Sports, aims to invest in teams and leagues across men's and women's sport.

A move for Bale's hometown club Cardiff City could still be on the cards.

However, the former winger has already insisted any acquisition will need to be considered from a business point of view.

Juggernaut Capital founder John Shulman said the new platform will focus on investments across the global sports economy.

Bale brings a career spanning the Premier League, La Liga, and five Champions League titles to the partnership.

The Wales legend is still considering a move into football ownership.

He launched his new investment fund alongside John Shulman, the founder of Juggernaut Capital Partners.

Gareth Bale's son was seen with him at the World Cup, watching France's win over Senegal.

Bale himself is looking to the future, with his investment fund aiming to make a mark on the sports world.
