Gary Anderson Withdraws from Slovak Darts Open

Gary Anderson has withdrawn from the Slovak Darts Open, a Euro Tour event set to take place in Bratislava.

The PDC announced his withdrawal with the release of the draw for the event.

Anderson was initially entered into the tournament but will no longer participate.

His spot is taken by Madars Razma, the highest-ranked player on the Order of Merit who lost in the final round at the Tour Card Holder Qualifier.

Anderson has played only two Euro Tour events in 2026, exiting in the second round on both occasions.

This withdrawal continues Anderson's sporadic participation in Euro Tour events, having not played any from 2017 through 2022.

He has appeared in only a few events in recent years.

The Slovak Darts Open will still feature big names, despite the absence of Anderson, Luke Littler, Luke Humphries, James Wade, and Josh Rock.

The event is the first Euro Tour event ever staged in Slovakia.

Anderson's decision not to play leaves questions about his future participation in Euro Tour events.

The reason for his withdrawal is currently unknown.

As of 2026, Anderson has played a limited number of Euro Tour events.
