Gerwyn Price Competes at UK Open Pool Championship

Gerwyn Price is set to compete at the 2026 UK Open Pool Championship from May 26-31.

The event may clash with the Premier League Darts Play-Offs, scheduled for Thursday, May 28.

Gerwyn Price has been handed a wild card to compete at the UK Open Pool Championship.

The event will be held at the Brentwood Centre, featuring 256 competitors from over 50 countries.

Gerwyn Price has experience playing pool, having previously competed in the Mosconi Cup.

He hit the winning shot against Ade Oladipo and Hugo Boyle in an exhibition Pro-Am event.

Gerwyn Price told Sky Sports: "I'll take it with both hands and give it a crack."

Gerwyn Price is trying to qualify for the Premier League Darts Play-Offs.

He said: "100 per cent, that's my bread and butter, I'm there to win the Premier League."

The PDC stated that Gerwyn Price does not require special dispensation to participate in non-darts events.

The UK Open Pool Championship has a £167,500 prize fund.

Gerwyn Price is currently sitting five points above fifth place in the Premier League Darts standings.

He failed to win three consecutive quarter-final matches, but remains in the Play-Off race.

Gerwyn Price will play at the UK Open Pool Championship, regardless of the potential clash with the Premier League Darts Play-Offs.

The event will be a test of his skills in both darts and pool, as he aims to win both events.
