Holly Holm Reacts to Ronda Rousey's Fighting Claims
Holly Holm would have no problem stepping into the ring again with Ronda Rousey, her former UFC rival.
Rousey recently stated she'd "f--king clean her clock" if they were to fight again, on *Up & Adams* with Kay Adams.
Holly Holm responded to these comments on *The Ariel Helwani Show*, saying Rousey has "never wanted" a rematch.
Holm believes Rousey wanted a win over Gina Carano and then to retire, as she mentioned being retired at the start of the video.
Rousey defeated Gina Carano on May 16, sparking speculation about a potential fight against Holm.
Holly Holm was the first person to defeat Rousey in mixed martial arts, scoring a knockout victory at UFC 193 to win the UFC women's bantamweight title on November 15, 2015.
Rousey had a 12-0 career record before the fight, with 11 victories coming in the first round.
Holly Holm lost her first defense of the UFC title to Miesha Tate, and recently challenged Stephanie Han in a boxing match for the WBA female lightweight title on May 30.
The bout ended in controversial fashion with Han retaining the championship via majority decision, despite Holm having a 107-70 advantage in strikes landed.
Holly Holm told MMA Fighting's Damon Martin on May 27 that she heard the talk about a Rousey bout, but it was "highly" doubtful it would ever happen.
Holm has always been open to a rematch with Rousey, saying "I'll always rematch her" since their first fight.
Rousey's last UFC bout was in December 2016, losing to Amanda Nunes via first-round TKO.
