Isack Hadjar Earns First Podium

2026-06-23 · Isack Hadjar · Player Focus

Isack Hadjar earned his first Formula 1 podium at the Dutch Grand Prix, finishing third after Lando Norris retired due to a car issue.

The 20-year-old Frenchman finished third, leaping into his team's arms in parc ferme, and was sprayed with Champagne by Max Verstappen and Oscar Piastri on the podium.

Hadjar's debut at the 2025 Australian Grand Prix ended in disaster, crashing out on the formation lap, but he improved, bagging his first points two races later with an eighth-place finish in Japan.

He secured 22 points and never was knocked out of Q1, becoming the highest-scoring driver for Racing Bulls this season.

After 14 rounds, Hadjar endured a dry spell, only scoring one point during a five-race-weekend stretch, but he pointed to teammate Liam Lawson's performance, saying the car is working well.

Hadjar emphasized he is not playing it safe, trying his best and learning as much as he can, and his tactic seems to be working, with a competitive car and narrow gaps between qualifying times.

As of the 2025 Dutch Grand Prix, Hadjar has secured his first podium, finishing third, and will look to continue improving and scoring points for Racing Bulls.

Hadjar's performance has been notable, with 15 points earned over seven races, and his ability to bounce back from mistakes has been impressive.

The Frenchman's goal is to continue trying his best and learning, and his results so far have been promising, with a strong finish at the Dutch Grand Prix.
