“I went and played Wimbledon and won my first two rounds,” she wrote. “I was sick with a nasty sinus infection, probably from the stress.”

Pegula shut down rumors that Kim had died while her mother fought for recovery. She called it “not the most fun Wimbledon experience I remember.”

At Wimbledon 2026, Pegula reached the quarterfinals. She lost to Ons Jabeur in straight sets on 8 July, ending her title hopes.
