Jimmie Johnson Unveils Custom Paint Scheme for NASCAR San Diego Weekend
Jimmie Johnson, the seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, has unveiled a custom paint scheme for the No. 84 Carvana Toyota ahead of the inaugural NASCAR San Diego Weekend.
The paint scheme was designed as a visual autobiography, with every detail drawing from a different chapter of Johnson's life, from skating at Mission Beach to his seven NASCAR championships.
The car features a Southern California sunset palette, mimicking the iconic landscapes of the region, and includes a replica of a motorcycle he raced at Barona Oaks.
The design also honors Johnson's legacy of giving back, with a "Foundation Lane" street sign, a tribute to the road in Elkhorn named after the Jimmie Johnson Foundation.
Johnson expressed his excitement about the design, saying "Carvana and their design team have outdone themselves with this scheme; they've told my life story with this livery."
The inaugural NASCAR San Diego Weekend will take place on June 19-21, 2026, at Naval Base Coronado, and Johnson is looking forward to bringing the custom-painted car to his hometown.
The event will mark a homecoming for Johnson, a native of El Cajon, California, and he's eager to compete in front of his hometown crowd.
As of May 8, 2026, Johnson has been preparing for the event, and the custom paint scheme is expected to be a fan favorite.
The partnership with Carvana has been instrumental in bringing this design to life, and Johnson is grateful for their support.
