John Cena recently reflected on life after retiring from WWE, stating that being a wrestler is something he enjoys but not who he is. On December 13, 2025, Cena officially retired from WWE following his farewell match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Cena admitted that many people have asked him what he plans to do next, but he’s perfectly comfortable not having all the answers.

He plans to embrace whatever opportunities come his way while making the most of each day. Cena stated, “Being a wrestler is something I enjoy. It is not who I am. I am more than that.”

Cena currently stars alongside Eric André in the Netflix comedy Little Brother, which premiered on June 26. The film’s release was promoted on WWE RAW when André made a surprise appearance.

The segment ended with Jacob Fatu attacking the comedian, leaving him laid out in the ring. Cena believes Eric André already possesses the tools to succeed in the world of sports entertainment.

Cena addressed his Little Brother co-star’s WWE appearance, stating, “The advice would be follow your dream. He’s a gifted physical comedian and a storyteller. He would be a WWE Superstar as soon as he switches, as soon as he changes his mind.”

Cena remains busy in Hollywood, and his retirement from WWE has not slowed him down. He is focused on making the most of each day and embracing new opportunities.

On The Pete Davidson Show on Netflix, Cena reflected on life after wrestling, emphasizing that he is more than just a wrestler. He is comfortable with not having all the answers and is excited to see what the future holds.
