Khamzat Chimaev Faces Criticism After UFC 328 Loss

Covington questioned Chimaev's decision to accept bottom position in the second round.

He said he could never imagine pulling guard so easily.

Covington sees a 'clear path' to break Chimaev in a wrestling match.

Covington is scheduled to face Arman Tsarukyan at RAF 11 on July 18.

Chimaev headlines RAF 10 this Saturday in St. Louis opposite Dillon Danis.

Covington plans to attend and expects a tense encounter with Chimaev.

And Chimaev trains alongside Tsarukyan.

But Covington is confident in his abilities.

So he told reporters he intends to confront Chimaev directly about the Strickland fight.

Covington warned Chimaev about his weaknesses.

Chimaev's loss to Strickland was a split decision at Prudential Center in Newark.

The fight turned into a striking battle after the opening round.

Strickland reclaimed the title he lost to Dricus du Plessis last year.

As of May, Chimaev's record stands at 12-1.

Covington's record is 17-3.
