Kyle Busch Dies: NASCAR Legend Passes Away

Kyle Busch, a two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion, died on May 21 at the age of 41.

He was taken to a Charlotte hospital following a medical emergency during simulator testing in Concord, North Carolina, on May 21.

His death was confirmed, but no cause of death has been released.

Busch built a long-standing connection with Georgia motorsports fans through Atlanta Motor Speedway, where he competed regularly and delivered standout performances over his career.

He won twice at Atlanta Motor Speedway, in 2008 and 2013, before the track's new configuration.

Busch also made a recent community visit in Hall County, where he spent time with students at Lanier Elementary School during a February appearance.

He met with fifth graders, signed autographs, took photos, and answered questions after being invited following a classroom project that used NASCAR to teach subjects like math, science, and reading.

Marjorie Taylor Greene and Chipper Jones are among those who have given tributes to the NASCAR legend.

Busch is survived by his wife, Samantha, and their two children, Brexton and Lennix, who remain at the center of several tributes following his death.
