Kyle Busch Rival Kurt Busch Races at Le Mans
Kurt Busch, a rival of Kyle Busch, will make his racing debut at Le Mans this weekend. He will drive a NEMCO-prepared No. 1 Monster Energy Chevrolet Camaro.
The event, HSR NASCAR Classic presented by Goodyear, will feature over 30 historic NASCAR stock cars at Circuit de la Sarthe during the Le Mans Classic.
Kurt Busch joins a diverse field spanning nearly six decades of NASCAR history. The field includes a Richard Petty-inspired 1966 Plymouth Belvedere and modern-era stock cars retired from NASCAR's national series competition.
The event serves as a rolling tribute to some of the sport's most recognizable figures, including Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Greg Biffle. Kyle Busch's team, Kyle Busch Motorsports, is also represented, with a former Chevrolet Silverado truck entered in the competition.
The truck will be driven by former NFL lineman Scott Dolfi. The event celebrates a major milestone in NASCAR's international history, with Jean Algernas driving the former Donlavey Racing No. 90 Ford Torino.
Competition begins on Friday with qualifying, followed by three races scheduled across Saturday and Sunday. The event is part of the United States' yearlong celebration of its 250th anniversary, blending American racing heritage with one of international motorsport's most iconic stages.
Victor Corda, who will field a former Greg Biffle-linked Ford Mustang, said the chance to race at Le Mans with family members serving as part of his team makes the journey especially meaningful. JC France will pilot a Chevrolet Camaro carrying the same Garage 56 livery used by Jimmie Johnson, Jenson Button, and Mike Rockenfeller during NASCAR's exhibition entry in the 2023 24 Hours of Le Mans.
The field will include other notable names, such as Michael Parsons, who will drive the famed black No. 3 Goodwrench Chevrolet Lumina once campaigned by Dale Earnhardt Sr. The event is a unique opportunity for NASCAR fans to see historic stock cars in action at one of the world's most famous racing venues.
