Lance Franklin Scores 1,058th Career Goal in 350th AFL Game

Lance Franklin has scored his 1,058th career goal in his 350th AFL game, moving into outright fourth spot on the list of VFL/AFL goalkickers.

The Sydney star lined up for the Swans against St Kilda on Thursday night and kicked his first goal of the game in the second term.

The goal took Franklin past former Geelong and North Melbourne full-forward Doug Wade.

Franklin is now only behind Tony Lockett, Gordon Coventry, and Jason Dunstall among the most prolific goalkickers in VFL/AFL history.

The four-time Coleman medallist has kicked **478** goals for the Swans since joining the club ahead of the **2014** season.

The Swans were kept scoreless in the opening term against the Saints, but Franklin's goal sparked a comeback.

However, the Swans were unable to avoid defeat, with St Kilda cementing their place in the top eight with a **14**-point victory.

Franklin has enjoyed playing the Saints in milestone matches at the SCG, slotting **nine** goals against them in his **200th** game in **2014**.

The **36**-year-old has also become the fourth Indigenous player to reach **350** games, after Shaun Burgoyne, Adam Goodes, and Eddie Betts.

Franklin's **1,058th** career goal was kicked in the second term after pulling down a juggling pack mark.
