Magomed Ankalaev Calls Out Jiri Prochazka After UFC 327 Loss
Magomed Ankalaev jumped at the chance to revel in Jiri Prochazka's title loss at UFC 327.
Prochazka was knocked out by Carlos Ulberg in the first round of their vacant light heavyweight title fight on Saturday at Kaseya Center in Miami.
Ankalaev, who lost his belt to Alex Pereira at UFC 320, went off on Prochazka after falling short in three out of his four title fights.
"Jiri never talk about me again. You only can talk about me if you wanna fight none of these guys are my level congratulation, Carlos," Ankalaev stated.
Ankalaev is not buying Prochazka's claim that he held back during the fight. "Jiri Prochazka He kept kicking Carlos's legs. He did not show him any mercy. Fake," Ankalaev said.
Prochazka regretted showing Ulberg mercy after Ulberg injured his knee early in the fight. As he backed Ulberg to the fence, Prochazka was caught with a left hook which floored him.
Ankalaev concluded things by calling out Prochazka for a fight. "@jiri_bjp let’s fight next I dare you to call me out," Ankalaev tweeted.
The loss drops Prochazka's record to 32-6-1 MMA, 6-3 UFC, while Ulberg improves to 14-1 MMA, 10-1 UFC. Ankalaev's record stands at 21-2-1 MMA, 12-2-1 UFC.
Ankalaev's call-out of Prochazka comes after Prochazka's third knockout loss in his last six fights. Ankalaev believes he is on a different level than Prochazka and wants to prove it in the octagon.
The UFC 327 event took place on Saturday, with Ulberg's win over Prochazka being one of the most notable fights of the night. Ankalaev's reaction to the fight has sparked interest in a potential matchup between the two fighters.
As the light heavyweight division continues to evolve, Ankalaev is looking to make a statement and prove himself as one of the top fighters in the division. His call-out of Prochazka is just the beginning of what could be an exciting rivalry in the UFC.
With his sights set on Prochazka, Ankalaev is ready to put on a show and prove his skills in the octagon. The question is, will Prochazka accept the challenge and face Ankalaev in his next fight?
