Marc-Andre ter Stegen Eyes Ajax Move

Marc-Andre ter Stegen is set to reunite with coach Michel at Ajax, according to reports from Mundo Deportivo and Sport.

The 50-year-old Spaniard, Michel, has been named the head coach of Ajax Amsterdam after his five-year spell at Girona.

Michel signed ter Stegen for Girona in the second half of last season, but the goalkeeper played only two games before a hamstring injury ended his campaign.

The German international is still under contract until 2028 at FC Bayern, but he isn't in the plans of fellow German Hansi Flick.

Ter Stegen's long-standing injury also ruled him out of the World Cup.

Ajax recently had a German goalkeeper with Diant Ramaj's 18-month spell before his move to Borussia Dortmund.

The traditional club will be in the Conference League next season after beating Utrecht on penalties in the playoff final.

And ter Stegen's potential move to Ajax could be a significant transfer deal.
