Marc Márquez Dominates with Back-to-Back Wins

Marc Márquez has stormed back into the championship hunt with back-to-back Grand Prix wins in Hungary and Czechia.

Márquez's victories have cut his deficit to championship leader Marco Bezzecchi from 120 points to just 40.

Jorge Lorenzo believes Márquez's health and bike competitiveness are key to his success.

Lorenzo said: “Without those injuries from 2020, and with a bike equal to his rivals', he would probably have won all those championships.”

Márquez's experience and smart media handling also contribute to his edge, according to Lorenzo.

Lorenzo thinks his generation, including Valentino Rossi, put up a stronger fight against Márquez than the current crop of riders.

Lorenzo beat Márquez to the MotoGP title in 2015, but Márquez has since won seven premier class titles from 2012 to 2019.

Ducati's aerodynamic developments, such as a new rear section, may have given Márquez an advantage, says Lorenzo.

Márquez's improved physical condition after surgery also plays a role in his recent successes, according to Lorenzo.
