Maverick Viñales Uncertain About KTM MotoGP Future

Maverick Viñales remains uncertain about his KTM MotoGP future.

The Spanish rider has been recovering from shoulder injuries.

Maverick Viñales admitted he still does not know whether he has a MotoGP future with KTM.

He told the English media at Brno on Thursday: “It's almost July and still I don't know anything of my future, so I think it's quite late from KTM.”

The former Suzuki, Yamaha and Aprilia race winner showed loyalty to KTM despite other opportunities.

Vinales could have signed with someone else, but he didn't, due to contract restrictions.

He insisted that a full shoulder recovery is simply a matter of time.

When he was at 100% in the mid-season before the injury, he was the reference at KTM.

The Spaniard, who has scored just six points this season, added that he will not ride KTM’s 850cc machine during Monday’s post-race test at Brno.

He said: “I have no contract at the moment!”

Vinales also mentioned that he is continuing to recover from last year’s shoulder injuries, including follow-up surgery in late March.

And he is doing gym work, currently at 5 kilos, and hopes to increase this in the coming months.

But he cannot magically pull up 15 kilos, and wishes he could try, but then he gets hurt.

So the future is uncertain for Maverick Viñales.

He wants to race good, do good races for himself.

The thing is that now he doesn't have anything inside that is creating inflammation.
