2026-07-07 · Micah Parsons · Player Focus

Micah Parsons is gearing up for a return to the gridiron in the upcoming season after his previous campaign with the Green Bay Packers was cut short due to injury.

He suffered a torn ACL against the Denver Broncos, sidelining him for the rest of the season and his team’s game in the NFL Playoffs.

The postseason game saw Caleb Williams lead the Chicago Bears to another win over the Packers, with Parsons unable to contribute and merely watch as a spectator.

Parsons drew scrutiny over his one-word response in a promotional teaser for the NFL Top 100, simply saying “Iceman,” which is Williams’ nickname.

He later clarified that it was taken out of context, and a new clip featuring Parsons appeared online in which he praises Williams and what he’s done so far in his career.

“I can’t lie, the celly and everything is super great,” Parsons said.

Parsons warned, “Where there’s ice, there’s also fire, and I’m the fire,” in the new NFL video clip, showing the competitive spirit that Parsons has, as he’s fully embracing the rivalry that is the Bears-Packers.

Chicago gained the upper hand with a regular-season OT win and playoff win against Green Bay, led by Williams, with Parsons absent due to his injury.

The Packers finished 9-7-1, just below the Bears, who finished 11-6 to claim the NFC North and No. 2 seed in the conference.

Parsons participated in the two teams’ first meeting last season, a 28-21 win in Green Bay, and he’s hoping to return by Week 5 or Week 6 of the upcoming season.

He had one tackle in that game, while teammate Kingsley Enagbare recorded the game’s only sack on Williams.

The second regular-season game was a 22-16 overtime win by the Bears, with Parsons not playing due to his unfortunate injury.

Parsons is looking to make an impact in the upcoming season, and his rivalry with Williams is set to be a key storyline.

And with the NFL Top 100 list unveiling soon, Parsons is sure to be a topic of discussion, given his impressive skills and competitive spirit.

The Green Bay Packers are looking to bounce back from their injury-plagued season, and Parsons' return will be a major boost to their chances.
