Saudi Pro League clubs have been most active in their interest, having initially tried to lure the Egypt international to the Middle East two seasons ago. However, Football Insider revealed on 20 May that European giants AC Milan are interested in signing Salah and could make a move to beat Saudi clubs to his signature.

A return to Italy is seen as increasingly feasible for the 33-year-old winger, with it being far from nailed on that he will move to Saudi Arabia this summer. Salah loved his time in the Serie A with Fiorentina and Roma, and could be tempted to return to Italy with Milan despite what proved to be a poor season last time out.
