Mohammed Kudus Misses 2026 World Cup Due to Injury

2026-06-23 · Mohammed Kudus · Player Focus

Mohammed Kudus is missing the 2026 World Cup after being left out of Ghana's squad due to injury.

The Tottenham Hotspur forward suffered a quadriceps muscle injury in January and was unable to recover in time to be considered for the tournament.

Ghana could be a dark horse at the **2026 World Cup**, but they’ll have to do it without one of their stars: Mohammed Kudus.

He has become one of Africa’s premier attacking players in recent years, making his absence a major blow for the team.

Replacing a player of Kudus’ quality will not be easy.

Ghana still possess talented attackers such as Jordan Ayew, Kamaldeen Sulemana or Ernest Nuamah, but few names can replicate Kudus’ ability to create chances and change matches on his own.

The Black Stars must navigate Group L without one of their most creative and dangerous players.

This group includes England, Croatia, and Panama, probably one of the toughest sectors of the competition.

And Ghana’s ambitions of advancing from this group are now more difficult without Kudus.

But the team will have to rely on other players to step up and fill the void left by Kudus’ injury.

So the question remains, can Ghana still succeed without one of their key players?

Kudus will have to focus on recovering from his injury and getting back to full fitness.

This will be a major priority for the player and his team, as they look to get him back on the pitch as soon as possible.

The **2026 World Cup** may be out of reach, but there are still plenty of other games and tournaments for Kudus to play in.

And he will be eager to get back to playing and helping his team succeed.
