Mookie Betts Launches LGND Glove Brand After Passing Red Sox Games With Dodgers
Mookie Betts just became a Dodger for longer than he ever was a Red Sox player: and now he’s launching his own glove company.
What happened?
On 10 July 2026, Mookie Betts passed the number of games he played with the Boston Red Sox, making him a Dodger longer than he was a Red Sox. Alongside that milestone, Betts revealed LGND, his new baseball glove brand built around versatility, craftsmanship and player-first innovation. The company already sells two collections: the MOOK series, inspired by Betts’ experience playing both infield and outfield, and the MVRK series for multi-position players.
Why it matters for Mookie Betts
Betts’ six Gold Gloves span his time with Boston and Los Angeles, and now he’s taking that same attention to detail off the field. LGND gloves feature Betts’ personal game-worn colorways, a “50 Tri-Star” logo on the thumb, and his signature stamped in the palm. He says the brand is meant to give young players a glove they can trust from the first time they put it on.
Betts teamed up with lifelong friends Cameron Lewis, Brandon McPhail and Andrew Montgomery: high school teammates from Nashville: to launch LGND. The gloves are already on sale, with pricing details covered by Steve Henson of the L.A. Times.
What comes next for Betts and the Dodgers?
Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic outlines questions for the second half of the season: Can the Dodgers ever be at full strength? How will they handle Shohei Ohtani? And what will they do at the trade deadline? Ardaya suggests the answer is probably “not much,” but the core issue remains health and stars performing.
Betts’ glove company adds a new layer to his off-field presence as he eyes another deep postseason run with Los Angeles. The brand’s focus on young players reflects his own rise from high school standout to two-time World Series champion.
