Nate Diaz Calls Out Mike Perry for Rematch

2026-06-28 · Nate Diaz · Player Focus

Nate Diaz is looking to stay busy following his defeat in his MMA comeback. Diaz had no complaints about the way the fight ended, with the bout against Mike Perry stopped in his corner before the start of the third round.

Diaz showed plenty of grit, but deep cuts brought an early end to his return. He “didn’t actually feel good at all” and is hoping to get back in action soon to keep things moving forward.

Nate Diaz’s first reaction after the fight stayed true to his earlier comments about needing time to readjust to MMA after such a long break. His loss to Mike Perry at the Intuit Dome seems only to have fired up the creator of the BMF title.

He called for a rematch with ‘Platinum’ right after the fight, and that’s still very much what he’s focused on now. Diaz tagged “rematch” in his post, alongside a target emoji pointed at Sacramento’s Golden 1 Center.

There was early talk of running it back between Diaz and Perry even before they left the arena, with Jake Paul backing Sacramento as the location. Perry replied under Diaz’s post, writing: “Yeah good fight Nate. I was starting to get tired man. Thank goodness they stopped it.”

Right now, Diaz is facing a 180-day medical suspension unless he can clear up a possible finger fracture on his left hand with a doctor’s note. The Stockton native said right after the bout that he picked up the injury within seconds of round one and admitted focusing too much on it during the fight.

Diaz is looking to get back in action soon and a rematch with Mike Perry is his top priority. He promises brutal payback and is eager to stay busy following his MMA comeback. With his sights set on a rematch, Nate Diaz is ready to put on a show and prove himself once again in the UFC MMA world.
