Noah Lyles Headlines 2026 USATF Indoor Championships

Noah Lyles, the reigning Olympic 100m gold medalist, headlines the 2026 USATF Indoor Championships from Staten Island this Sunday, March 1.

Lyles aims for his second 60m national indoor title, coming off a strong 2025 outdoor season with his fourth consecutive 200m world title and fifth Diamond League 200m title.

He will compete in his first 60m race of the indoor season, seeking to add to his collection of eight world championship titles and three Olympic medals.

The 1500m events will feature top athletes, including Cole Hocker, the reigning Olympic 1500m gold medalist, and Elle St. Pierre, the 2024 World Indoor champion in the 3000m.

Other notable competitors include Nikki Hiltz, who has won the U.S. indoor 1500m title for the last three years, and Yared Nuguse, the Paris Olympic 1500m bronze medalist.

NBC Sports will provide live coverage of the event, with Paul Swangard, Ato Boldon, Kara Goucher, Trey Hardee, and Lewis Johnson on the commentary team.

The 2026 USATF Indoor Championships will serve as a selection event for the 2026 World Indoor Championships in Kujawy Pomorze, Poland, from March 20-22.

The top two athletes in each event will be selected to represent the United States, provided they meet the World Athletics entry standard or have a high enough world ranking.

The championships will be held at the Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex in Staten Island, N.Y., with the men's and women's 1500m events featuring some of the world's best athletes.

Noah Lyles' performance will be closely watched as he seeks to add to his impressive collection of titles and medals.

The event will be streamed live on Peacock, with NBC also providing coverage, starting at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday, March 1.
