Andre Agassi crowns Novak Djokovic ‘the best of all-time’ in new Prime documentary

Novak Djokovic just got the ultimate endorsement from Andre Agassi.

In an upcoming Prime documentary, Agassi calls Djokovic **the best of all-time**, labeling him untouchable in a new feature-length film titled *NOVAK DJOKOVIC: The Wolf in Winter*.

What the documentary reveals

The film premieres globally on Aug 20 and offers an inside look at Djokovic’s life and career. Agassi, an eight-time Grand Slam winner and part-time TNT analyst, briefly coached Djokovic from May 2017 to March 2018. He now ranks Djokovic above every player in history.

Directed by Jason Hehir-who also made *The Last Dance* on Michael Jordan-the documentary includes interviews with tennis legends Rafael Nadal and Pete Sampras, plus journalists Mary Carillo, Howard Bryant, Christopher Clarey and Matt Futterman.

Why Agassi’s praise matters now

Djokovic’s run to 24 majors came despite entering pro tennis as an outsider from war-torn Serbia. He overtook rivals Nadal and Roger Federer by tying the all-time record. Agassi’s blunt endorsement arrives as Djokovic chases another major.

The film also features Djokovic’s own doubts. “There are days when I feel like I’m the best,” he says. “There are days where I’m doubting myself a lot. How long should I do this? Why am I putting myself and my family through this over and over again?”

What comes next for Djokovic

He’s fresh off a semifinal loss to Jannik Sinner at Wimbledon. That ended his streak of reaching every Slam final or semifinal since the 2021 Australian Open. His last major title came at the 2023 U.S. Open.

Djokovic will appear at Fanatics Fest in New York City this week ahead of the U.S. Open, which starts next month. The event gives him a high-profile stage before the final Grand Slam of the season.

Jelena Djokovic also weighs in on her husband’s game. “You need to be elegant and sophisticated to play the game,” she says. “And you need to be the chosen one. Novak was not the chosen one.”
