Raymond van Barneveld Celebrates Anniversary

2026-06-29 · Raymond van Barneveld · Player Focus

Raymond van Barneveld has celebrated his three-year wedding anniversary with wife Julia.

The couple marked the occasion with a day out in Manchester, including a meal and a trip to the cinema.

Raymond van Barneveld has been struggling on the oche, with just two wins from his prior nine floor tournaments.

The five-time world champion is in serious danger of missing out on a number of major tournaments this year, including the World Matchplay and the World Grand Prix.

He sits 117th in the Players Championship Order of Merit with £8,750 to his name, over £10,000 away from the top 64.

Raymond van Barneveld will be hoping that his recent move to Milton Keynes in the UK will pay dividends and help him get back to his best form.

Julia has been a constant source of support for van Barneveld, who has been open about his struggles on social media.

He described the events of their anniversary day in an Instagram post, thanking the staff at a Manchester restaurant for their congratulations.

The couple first met in 2018, and van Barneveld proposed to Julia in 2020 in Paris, underneath the Eiffel Tower.

They got married a year later in Cyprus, and van Barneveld has often spoken about the importance of his family in his life.

As he looks to regain his form and qualify for major tournaments, van Barneveld will be relying on the support of his wife and family.

With the PDC World Darts Championship at the end of the year, van Barneveld will be hoping to turn his season around and make a push for the title.

For now, though, he can enjoy the happy memories of his anniversary celebration with Julia, and look forward to a brighter future on and off the oche.
