Remco Evenepoel Spotted on Camouflaged Specialized S-Works Shiv TT Bike
Remco Evenepoel was spotted on a camouflaged Specialized S-Works Shiv TT bike at the Tour de France Grand Depart.
The bike features a new design with a radically narrower leading edge on the headtube and a distinct Win Fin-style seat tube cutout.
The fork, downtube, and seat tube are also notably deeper and sharper, with a more contemporary design.
This new bike is expected to give Remco Evenepoel an edge in terms of aerodynamics, compliance, and tyre clearance, with the ability to fit up to 32mm tyres.
Remco Evenepoel's prototype Shiv was running 30mm Specialized Turbo TLR tyres, paired with a SRAM Red AXS groupset complete with a 68T chainring and 10-36T cassette.
The new Specialized S-Works Shiv TT bike is expected to be officially launched soon, with more details and information to be released in the coming days.
The bike's design is a significant update from the previous model, which was originally launched in 2019, and is expected to be a major factor in Remco Evenepoel's upcoming races.
The Roval solid disc rear wheel appears unchanged, but the front Roval wheel is notably deeper than that of his teammates, who are riding the current Specialized S-Works Shiv TT.
Remco Evenepoel's cockpit features a vee-shaped basebar attached to custom carbon-fibre extensions, with custom Leap Components Aero Grip Blip Mount shifters emblazoned with his initials, R.EV.
