Richard Petty Inspires Historic NASCAR Stock Cars at Le Mans Classic
Richard Petty's iconic No. 43 is remembered at Le Mans Classic.
A 1966 No. 43 Plymouth Belvedere, inspired by Richard Petty, will be part of the HSR NASCAR Classic.
The HSR NASCAR Classic presented by Goodyear joins the Le Mans Classic Legend at Circuit de la Sarthe from July 3-5.
This event marks HSR's first overseas race, featuring over 30 historic NASCAR stock cars.
The diverse field includes a Richard Petty-inspired 1966 No. 43 Plymouth Belvedere, highlighting his impact on NASCAR.
Other notable entries include a 2009 Ford Mustang with lineage to Greg Biffle and the iconic black No. 3 Goodwrench Chevrolet Lumina driven by Dale Earnhardt Sr.
The weekend's three races will take place on July 3-5, with two being livestreamed on the HSR and IMSA YouTube channels.
The first race broadcast window is 11-11:55am ET on Saturday, and the second race streams on Sunday at 3:55-4:50am ET.
Kurt Busch, the 2026 NASCAR Hall of Famer, will make his Le Mans racing debut in the HSR NASCAR Classic.
He will be driving his NEMCO-prepared 2020 No. 1 Monster Energy Chevrolet Camaro, a former Chip Ganassi Racing machine.
The event coincides with the Fourth of July Holiday and the year-long celebration of the 250th anniversary of the United States.
Victor Corda will campaign a 2009 Ford Mustang with lineage to Greg Biffle, while Michael Parsons will drive the iconic black No. 3 Goodwrench Chevrolet Lumina.
