Ronald Acuña Jr. Returns to Batting Practice
Ronald Acuña Jr. is preparing to begin a rehab assignment. He took batting practice on Saturday, as shared by Mark Bowman of MLB.com.
The Atlanta Braves won against the New York Mets with a score of 14-3 on Saturday night.
Ronald Acuña Jr. has been out since June 9. Before getting hurt, he had been batting .251 with 49 hits, 7 home runs, and 22 RBIs in 53 games.
His return is expected after the All-Star break, according to Bowman.

Ronald Acuña Jr. is still supposed to return this month, as stated on MLB.com.
On June 30, Acuña did running drills, and manager Walt Weiss said his return before the All-Star break would be a “long shot.”
Social media reacted to the update, with @NatsNyllawel saying “Believe it when I see it after all star break. More like July 30.”
And @william_sorsby commented “Would be nice if he can stay healthy. Sadly I think his hamstrings are mush now.”
The Braves lost Sunday’s game 10-9.
Ronald Acuña Jr. is in his ninth MLB season, all with the Braves.
His stats before the injury included 31 runs and 15 stolen bases.
The team's home record is 27-16 in 43 games.
Ronald Acuña Jr.'s potential return will impact the team's performance in the National League East.
